Save the children UK has been working in Nigeria since 2001. The early focus was ob getting children actively involved in shaping the decisions that affect their lives. Today, SC UK is working in several states: Zamfara, Yobe, Jigawa, Kastina, Kano, Buachi, Kaduna and others – focusing on child survival, education and protecting children. Furthermore, Nigeria is one of five priority countries for the Alliance popular campaign in child survival. As the world’s leading independent children charity, Save the Children inspi9res dramatic change for children around the globe. We are looking for an experienced staff to implement a 9months Saving Newborn Lives (SNL) funded project addressing the Newborn Health needs of children in Nigeria.

NEWBORN HEALTH PROGRAMME ADVISOR (SNL)
The candidate will support the integration and expansion of newborn health by Saving Newborn Lives (SNL) programme partners. She/he will provide support to the Newborn and Child Survival Adviser in providing tailored technical assistance to SNL partners and monitoring implementation of programme activities. She/he will provide technical skills in the areas of newborn health, documentation, monitoring and evaluation, training, materials development and behavior change communication. The requirement for the position include a postgraduate qualification in health pr related fields, 5 years work experience in health/public health organization; including 3years of experience as a national level trainer/technical assistance provider in RH/MCH with the government or an International NGO. The candidate must possess experience in RH/material, newborn and child health programming. Facility and community based health service improvement is essential. Annual Gross
