WHAT IS YOUR REACTION TO THE WORD?

Eli responded thus to the message of God for his family through Samuel "...it is the Lord; let him do what seems good to him" (1Sam. 3:18)
The Result was this '...Israel was defeated and they fled, everyone to his home. There was a very great slaughter, for there fell of Israel thirty thousand foot soldiers. the ark of God was captured and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas died... Eli fell over backwards from his seat by the side of the gate; and his neck was broken and he died...now the daughter-in-law the wife of Phinehas was pregnant about to give birth. When she heard the news that the ark of God was captured and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead, she bowed and gave birth; for her labour pains overwhelmed her. As she was about to die...she named the child Ichabod, meaning, the glory has departed from Israel' (1 Sam. 4:10-11, 18,19,21)

King Hezekiah a noble man who kept all the commandments of God as was given by Moses {2Kgs.18:6-7} fell ill and received a message from God through Isaiah (2 Kgs.20:1-8, Isaiah 38:1-8) he took it but did not accept it rather he turned his face to the wall then placed his youthful exuberance for righteousness before God and God changed his plan for his life by healing him and adding fifteen {15} more years to his life.

Delay to change your ways ("but by your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed" Rom.2:5) and embrace righteousness in all its ramification can be very disastrous {"...a man who turns back from righteousness to sin the Lord will prepare him for the sword" Sirach 26:28}

Ignorance of the Word of God and the purpose why God created you on earth is not an excuse ("but this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law within them and I will write it on their hearts and I will be their God and they shall be my people. No longer shall they teach one another or say to each other, know the Lord for they shall all know me from the least to the greatest says the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity and remember their sin no more" Jer.31:33-34)

You have been baptised and anointed with the oil of Chrism hence you have no excuse rather should strive to give up all those dirty passions we harbour and nurture with cheap phrases like "the body is weak" forgetting that the Spirit is willing besides the body has nothing to offer if the spirit of man is not willing to accept such {'the Spirit gives life to the body since the body has nothing to offer on its own, the words I speak to you are Spirit and they are life' Jn.6:63}

God is waiting for you ("listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you and you with me! Rev.3:20)

Do not keep him waiting too long for you might regret it eternally {'...and be sure your sin will find you out' Numb.32:23}
The mistakes of many people {boys/girls/men/women} in the past are hunting them now and will continue because no one will wipe out your past but those who repent truly will always see there past as a stepping stone to higher ground ["for Godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation and brings no regret but worldly grief produces death" 2 Cor.7:10]

Are you ready to discipline yourself now and have a blissful future as well as be sure of eternal life if death comes the next second since no one knows the hour, place or circumstance that would surround our death (Mtt.24:42)?
Are you still contented with doing whatever your impulse tells you yet not ready to face its reality and pain when other people attend to you and your relations with the same attitude?

THE CHOICE IS YOURS AND MINE TO MAKE!!!

VALENTINE LOVE IS OF GOD {RIGHTEOUSNESS}

As we celebrate the feast of a great Son and Priest of the Church {St. Valentine} who was clubbed to death on the 14th of February because of his love for God which attracted the affection of young girl to him and having received the correct orientation about love, let us imitate his example instead of blacklisting this glorious day which a man like Valentine used as an opportunity to brevity; taking his rightful place beside the throne of Love [“A good name is better than precious ointment and the day of death than the day of birth” Eccl.7:1]

Try to use a day like this to reach out to the poor, unloved, motherless-babies, the aged around you, give a call or send a text message to that your brother/sister/mother/father/cousin/friend/relation/enemy e.t.c whose presence or memory irritates your ego as a way of pulling down the wall of pride in you and your environment.

If your desire or knowledge of a day like this is disoriented towards corruption, deceit, glutton, drunkenness, pornography, masturbation, fornication, adultery, lesbianism, homosexuality, bestiality, lustiness in dressing/dancing, easy virtue of undoing the glory of your body by undressing before any man or woman as a stripper/boyfriend/girlfriend/sugar-daddy/sugar-mummy/friends without benefit {opposite/same sex who meet to have casual sex without being married} e.t.c just bear in mind that St. Valentine was clubbed to death on a day like this while sticking to righteousness against all odds hence is enjoying the bliss of Heaven beside God who is Love {1 Jn.4:8} therefore it is possible for anybody to die on a day like this while in acts/thoughts/places/habits/pleasures e.t.c that are detestable to God hence gaining the whole world while suffering the loss of his/her soul [‘what does it profit them if they gain the whole world, but lose or forfeit themselves?’ Lk.9:25] or destroying the future by making a wrong memory for tomorrow, genealogy and generation {“Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow” Gal.6:7}.

Do not engage in anything that you will not be able to gaze towards Heaven and seek for Divine approval and Blessing!!! “Let your love for one another be genuine and from a pure heart” (1 Pet.4:8)

from verse one to eighteen in this chapter of John's revelation about God, Christians need to pray consistently in order to be able to overcome the oppressions, trials and tribulations of this year even when their seems no reason to hope in God {Rom.4:18} Abram trusted hence in our bid to join the universal Church in the understanding of our faith (THE YEAR OF FAITH) and implore Christ to increase our faith [Mk.9:24], let us dispose ourselves towards endurance and perseverance in Radical righteousness which comes from all that is written in the scriptures ('for whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope' Rom.15:4).

Add it to your resolves for this year to read, meditate, ponder on it as you walk/ride to your office/jobs/travel/schools/events/engagements, let every decision you make have a sound biblical back-up and live by the words of God as it is written in the Holy Bible {'this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. for then you shall make your way prosperous and then be strong and then you shall be successful' Joshua 1:8} every moment of your life this year especially after waking-up from sleep and before going to bed in order to cleanse your memory and life of every nude picture, pornography, thoughts, habits and behavior you acquired during the previous years of your life since you understand the fear, disgust, anxiety, disease, infidelity, emptiness, darkness of vision e.t.c it brought to replace the once peaceful and lovely relationship you enjoyed with God and your conscience {1 Tim.1:18-19}

Take to this and come 31st Dec. 2013 you will not just be prosperous and successful but walk with heads held high at the signs, wonders and trials that will come with this year as well as before the Son of God ('be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength t escape all these things that will take place and to stand before the Son of Man' lLk.21:36) and gain inner Joy/peace from within you which the world and its luxury could not, cannot and will never be able to provide {"peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. do not let your hearts be troubled and do not let them be afraid" Jn.14:27} 

WHAT PLANS FOR CHRISTMAS?

After Christmas and new year celebration many souls will be rescued from the power of darkness to the kingdom of light, eternal freedom and forgiveness of sins {Col.1:13-14} through their honest, sincere and active participation in the Christmas revival crusades, consistent mental prayer (“Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place and to stand before the Son of Man” Lk.21:36 ), constant meditation on the word of God {‘this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous and then you shall be successful’ Joshua 1:8}, worthy reception of the Holy Communion (“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh” Jn.6:51), going for activities and engagements with the fear of offending God as well as the consciousness of God’s power around you {‘you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions’ (Heb.1:9); “for I will be a wall of fire all around it says the Lord and I will be the glory within it” Zech.2:5} and retreats [‘but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint’ Isaiah 40:31].

This is the lot of those who fear God (Isaiah 54:17), determined to fear God {2 Chr.29:10; Dan.1:8} during this period of Christmas and New Year.

After Christmas and new year celebration some married men/women who denied their marital status by removing their wedding ring for some seconds of sexual intercourse/fingering/kissing/romancing/oral sex will spend some months in the hospital or homes treating the new born disease(s) {‘but if you will not obey the Lord your God by diligently observing all his commandments and decrees which I am commanding you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you…” Deut. 28:15-68}, while some disease that are incurable will stick to their bodies till death not without the regrets that will hunt them throughout their lifestyle and the legacy of bad name that will eternally live with their generations, some will be unable to reproduce for life {“the Lord of hosts has revealed himself in my ears: surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you until you die says the Lord God of hosts” Isaiah 22:14} because they feel comfortable exposing/projecting their private parts/under wear lining with tight tops/transparent clothes/hanging gowns/short skirts/tight skirts/pencil skirts/trousers/bomb-shots/sleeveless tops/strapless tops/unbuttoned tops e.t.c while provoking lust as well as inducing demons of immorality on men [‘you have heard that it was said, you shall not commit adultery but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with the lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart’ (Mtt.5:27-28)] just have it at your subconscious that a curse is already tagged on the person through whom men or women will be laid to lust and any other form of sin in a situation/circumstance worse still during this period Our Lord is sharing Graces with regards to the remembrance of His Birth and the awakening call to His second coming  (“if any of you put a stumbling-block before one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for you if a great millstone were fastened around your neck and you were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of stumbling-blocks! Occasions for stumbling are bound to come but woe to the one by whom the stumbling-block comes!” Mtt.18:6-7)

Another movement after this yuletide might be the cases of people who used to dress well being intimidated by friends who will come back from different cities and campuses thus ‘when will you stop being timid and join the moving trend’ just be on your alert as you dispose yourself to meet old friends and meet new friends this season {“do not be deceived: bad company ruin good morals” 1 Cor.15:33} remember you are about breaking a covenant; the regrets, mistakes and effects of which you will live with till death even after your request of God’s forgiveness have been granted (“O Lord our God, you answered them; you were a forgiving God to them but an avenger of their wrongdoing” [Ps.99:8]; ‘do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For God’s temple is holy and you are that temple’ 1 Cor.3:16-17) also some from wearing nude and half nude clothes that project the contour of their waist size/shape/under-wear/tight-tops/strapless tops/sleeveless tops/transparent clothes/hanging gowns/skirts/bomb-shots e.t.c like mini-skirts, pencil skirts, trousers e.t.c even uploading such pictures on the internet did meet their waterloo at the hands of rapist/sex-maniacs/HIV & HBV-carriers/nymphomaniacs/homosexuals/porn-addicts/lesbians/masturbators/sex demons e.t.c who initiated them as agents in these fields; while some became pregnant, abortion destroyed some while the remaining grace left on the souls of those who survived were meshed with the torture of murder, others are slaves to these habits till date and are seeking for solution with fear of dyeing in this horrible state of the soul  always wrecking havoc in their conscience {“…and be sure your sin will find you out” Numb.32:23}, you also need to be careful of fake preachers, prophets and miracle workers as you seek to married/get married/fruit of the wombs/healing/breakthrough in carrier and business without telling you first to flee from your sins and submit to righteousness (‘and the Lord said to me: the prophets are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination and the deceit of their own minds’ Jer.14:14). The only thing that will make a prey to these groups is your wickedness and sins (“your iniquities have turned these away and your sins have deprived you of good” Jer.5:25), inconsistent mental prayer {‘stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak’ Mtt.26:41}, lack of the knowledge of the word of God and the power of God [“Jesus said to them, Is not this the reason you are wrong that you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God?” Mk.12:24]

What will your thoughts of tomorrow be like with all these half-naked pictures of yours in the internet? the memories of what we do currently will live forever with us either as regrets, anxiety, sorrow, frustration and shameful legacy just like David in the Holy Scriptures whose misdemeanor with Uriah's wife is still an enigma to His loving Union with God (2 Sam.12:11-13) for the vices when death comes crawling and joy for the virtues thereof.
My dear you are too precious in the eyes of God and Graceful to be cheapening your nakedness for demons of lust to use as a bait to block your blessings and accuse you before God {Rev.12:10}
You can't tell how many people who have downloaded these pictures of yours and are masturbating with them as well as accusing you before God.
These days of youthful exuberance will pass but you will look back on this attitude of exhibitionism and heave a sigh of remorse and regret but will not be able to change the harm you have done to Souls of men. The regrets lives with you forever and can never be wiped out {"...Surely your sins will find you out..." Numbers 32:23}. This is also applicable to good behaviors, thoughts, words, dressing/eating habits and decisions of the moment.

Help to make the world a better place by inducing Holiness and Good conscience in the hearts of men with decent pictures of yours and others.

Hell and Heaven are the current state of your soul when alone or in a crowded in environment i.e the after effects of words spoken yesterday, thoughts nurtured last second and actions/decisions taken last minute on the present.

There is a thin line between now and eternity, everything you did in the past, doing now and in the future will be used to condemn you or justify you {Gal.6:7}.
